KET – Programme
Design of the KET programme
Formal Academic Programme
This is provided fully by Christian Brothers College.
It is paid for fully by the Kisima Education Trust
Psycho-Social Support
This is made up of a range of Life Skills workshops and mentorship. It is provided by KET. This part of the programme takes place periodically through the year, outside of formal academic time.
Parental Support
A range of seminars is hosted for parents, focusing on supporting their children’s academic journey and managing their own anxiety while addressing that of their learners. To this end, “Pizza with Parents” has become an annual KET event.
Selection Criteria
A thorough due diligence assessment will be conducted as part of the learner selection process. This will include, but not be limited to:
Academic performance
Financial need
Commitment to education
Thorough review process by a selection committee
Home visit assessment
