KET – About us

Kisima Education Trust was established by a company called Kisima Psychological Services, as part of its corporate social responsibility in 2021.

KET Provides academic scholarships, mentorship programs, and psycho-social support to its learners.

It is a well known fact that good quality education contributes to improved chances of meaningful economic participation and enhanced quality of life. Therefore, it is the vision of the Kisima Education Trust (KET) to contribute to the broader education redress in South Africa specifically and in Africa generally.

The Trust will contribute to this vision through providing access to excellent quality education for bright minds in township primary schools. The first year of the Trust (2022) has identified four learners to enrol into a private school. When funding increases each year, then each academic year more learners will be enrolled at reputable private schools. They will be enrolled from Grade 8 through to Grade 12 of their respective academic years. The design of the scholarship includes periodic psycho-social support, particularly for the learners’ adjustment and transitioning period from a township school into a private schooling system.
